Introduction to Cadaver Course is a blend of online and in person training to get you and your dog started in this exciting filed of training.
In person training will be held over two full days of extensive foundation training. The two online training sessions will take you through how the dogs work, what they detect and how your training will progress.
What Equipment will I Need?
- Lead/Long Line: You dog can work on a lead, a long line or off lead. Initially all dogs will be worked on a lead or long line. However, the line should be slack and not with tension like Mantrailing.
- Jacket or Harness: Either
- Reward: Food and Toy, please bring both
Who is this course suitable for?
- Those who have done any scent work experience such as Mantrailing, Air Scent, Scent Detection etc.
- Anyone who is looking to do a fun and interesting hobby with their dog.
- Anyone who is interested in training an operational cadaver/HRD dog.
Suitable for Reactive Dogs?
Yes, absolutely. We’ll have the course in a quiet location until you dog is into the game. Then we will look to change environments over time to proof the training.
