💰 Price: €199 (includes camping pitch and all training). Option to pay 50% deposit (non refundable). Full amount will be due by Friday October 3rd

Escape the trick-or-treaters, give your dog a break from fireworks, and spend a fun, spooky weekend in the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains. This special two-night Halloween camping event at Crotty’s Lake Campsite combines the magic of autumn camping with Mantrailing, Air Scent, and Cadaver training — plus a touch of ghostly fun.

Weekend Itinerary

Friday:

• Arrive and check in between 2pm–6pm. Let the hosts know you’re with Hounds and Helis and you’ll be shown to your pitch. You can park right beside your tent space or sleep in your vehicle.

• Short, fun evening searches to help your dog get used to the area, torches, tents, and people.

Saturday:

• Free time during the day to explore — walk to Crotty’s Lake (steep in places, good boots needed), visit the beach, or relax at camp.

• Halloween-themed searches after dark! We’ll split into teams and work multiple search areas, with opportunities for cadaver, mantrailing, and air scent dogs to shine.

• End the night with a campfire and maybe a spooky story or two…

Sunday:

• Relaxed morning and departure after breakfast.

Facilities on Site:

• Toilet and shower

• Honesty cabin with teas, coffees, and snacks (cash only)

• Two-ring hob for cooking

• Option to light campfires

This weekend is all about enjoying time outdoors with your dog, building confidence in new environments, and having some seasonal fun. Whether you’re an experienced handler or new to the sport, this is a perfect opportunity to train, relax, and connect with like-minded dog lovers.

Spaces are limited — book early to avoid disappointment!

Important Notes

• Dogs with a bite history must be muzzled.
• Reactive dogs: This is a shared campsite, so it’s up to you to decide if the location is suitable for your dog’s reactivity levels. We will do our very best to ensure your dog can participate but we cannot account for members of the public with whom we will share the campsite. If your dog is unable to participate due to reactivity, refunds or transfers will not be available.
• All dogs must be kept on lead at all times, and owners are expected to remain mindful of their dog’s behaviour around others. Dogs must not encroach on other attendees’ pitches, and any issues will result in immediate departure without a refund.
• Restricted breeds: While the campsite does not require muzzling, out of courtesy, restricted breeds may need to wear a muzzle when working in busy areas with other campers.
