Training Focus
This overnight camp will cater for both Mantrailing and Cadaver training. You’ll get a chance to work your dog in a new environment, build confidence, and take advantage of the stunning natural setting.
Check-in: Between 2pm and 6pm on Saturday. On arrival, let the hosts know you’re with Hounds and Helis and they’ll direct you to your pitch. You can park right beside your spot, so whether you’re pitching a tent or sleeping in your vehicle, setup will be easy.
After setting up, take your dog for a walk to familiarise yourself with the site before our first training session from 5pm–8pm.
Training & Activities
This weekend is designed to be a social, relaxed retreat with some training sprinkled in. We’ll focus on Mantrailing and Cadaver training, all of which will take place onsite. Dogs must remain on lead at all times, and I will be facilitating training by setting up areas and goals while floating between groups to offer guidance and support. This is a chance to enjoy training without the pressure of a structured seminar, making it ideal for dog lovers who want to combine relaxation and learning.
Important Notes
- Dogs with a bite history must be muzzled.
- Reactive dogs: This is a shared campsite, so it’s up to you to decide if the location is suitable for your dog’s reactivity levels. We will do our very best to ensure your dog can participate but we cannot account for members of the public with whom we will share the campsite. If your dog is unable to participate due to reactivity, refunds or transfers will not be available.
- All dogs must be kept on lead at all times, and owners are expected to remain mindful of their dog’s behaviour around others. Dogs must not encroach on other attendees’ pitches, and any issues will result in immediate departure without a refund.
- Restricted breeds: While the campsite does not require muzzling, out of courtesy, restricted breeds may need to wear a muzzle when working in busy areas with other campers.
Terms & Conditions
Please read the full list of terms and conditions on our Training & Camping page. By booking, you agree to these terms, including the no-refund policy. If you cannot attend, we may be able to transfer your booking to another weekend, provided availability and training discipline alignment.
